PMAX3 High Pressure Axial Fan Blade | UTEK-DELE
The PMAX3 is a special-profile axial fan blade for high static pressure: 180-700 mm with nine blades on the PMAX plate hub, in PAG.
Special and integrated fans cover blade types that fall outside the standard adjustable and fixed-angle families: PMAX high-pressure blades, high-temperature PA66 and PES impellers, one-piece moulded fans and centrifugal impellers.
Not every cooling problem is answered by a standard blade set. The special and integrated range collects the blade types developed for duties that sit outside the normal adjustable and fixed-angle families: high-pressure powertrain cooling, temperature limits that moulded PA6 cannot take, and machines where the impeller and the fan body are designed as one part.
This group includes the PMAX high-pressure blade on its plate hub, high-temperature impellers in PA66 and PES, one-piece moulded fans where hub and blades are a single moulding, and centrifugal impellers for installations where the airflow has to turn through a housing. Because these are specialized parts, each one is reviewed against the duty point and the mounting interface before a tool or a blade set is released.
| Group | Blade type | Typical scope | Materials | Product page |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PMAX high pressure | Special profile on PMAX plate hub | 180-700 mm, 9 blades, narrow engine bays | PAG | PMAX Series fans |
| High temperature | Moulded blade, high-temperature resin | Duties above the PA6 range | PA66 / PES | 4XR Series high temperature blades |
| One-piece moulded fan | Integrated hub and blades | Compact units with a moulded body | Moulded composite | Quoted on request |
| Centrifugal impeller | Centrifugal wheel | Housed fans and ducted airflow | Moulded composite | Quoted on request |
Special blade types are quoted against the duty point, the mounting interface and the temperature profile; where a standard series can meet the requirement it is normally the cheaper and faster route.
Blade material is selected from the working temperature and from the atmosphere around the impeller:
| Material | Composition | Temperature range | Typical duty |
|---|---|---|---|
| PAG | PA6 with 30% glass fibre | -40 °C to 110 °C | Heavy-load cooling, anti-aging, general engine cooling |
| PAGAS | PA6 with 15% carbon fibre and 15% glass fibre (conductive) | -30 °C to 100 °C | Dust and gas atmospheres where static discharge must be avoided |
| ALU | Die-cast aluminium ADC12 | -40 °C to 150 °C, short-term 300 °C for 2 h | High-temperature and fire-resistance zones |
The conductive PAGAS option is supplied for equipment working in explosive-risk atmospheres such as dust or gas. It addresses the working environment of the blade; machine-level certification remains the responsibility of the equipment builder.
This series is normally specified for the following duties:
High-pressure powertrain cooling and Tier 4F / Tier 5 installations
High-temperature cooling where PA6 blades are not suitable
Integrated fan units with a moulded body
Centrifugal airflow arrangements in ducted equipment
When a fan is being specified or replaced, the following points are confirmed before a blade set is released. They are the same checks used for OEM programs and for retrofit projects.
Duty point: airflow and static pressure required at the working speed, taken from the cooling pack or ventilation requirement
Installation: available diameter, shroud clearance, mounting pattern and the shaft interface of the existing hub
Environment: maximum air temperature, dust or gas atmosphere, and whether static discharge has to be avoided
Drive: available power, belt or direct drive, and whether the fan has to reverse in service
Service: blade weight for handling during maintenance and spare-part availability across the machine fleet
Blade count, profile and material are then matched to those conditions in a fixed order: material first, then blade count, then hub family, with diameter confirmed against the shroud. Working in that sequence keeps the mechanical interface stable when the duty requirement changes later in the project, and it is why the same blade family can often stay in production while the cooling pack is revised.
Special and integrated impellers are assembled as a matched set and balanced on a hand laser balancing machine before shipment. Two patent families cover parts of this range: the variable-pitch reversible fan (Chinese invention patent CN 118309603 B) and the explosion-proof fan blade (Chinese utility model patent CN 222315403 U).
Blade count, blade profile, hub family and material can be customized for OEM programs, and existing fans can be reviewed when airflow, noise or durability has to be improved on a running machine. Where one of the standard series meets the duty point, the fixed-angle and adjustable-angle pages list the production models that can be quoted directly from the catalogue.
