P3Z/P4Z/P5Z/P6Z engine fan high cfm assembly fan for radiator cooling
The P3Z, P4Z, P5Z and P6Z are adjustable-pitch axial fan blades in the P Series, covering 250-1343 mm with 1-16 blades on the Z hub families for radiator and process cooling.
The P Series is the medium-diameter adjustable-pitch range, covering 250-1343 mm with the P3Z and P4Z-P5Z-P6Z models, blade counts from 1 to 16 and PAG, PAGAS or ALU materials on Z hubs.
The P Series is the widest medium-diameter family in the range. Two models cover the class: the P3Z from 250 to 1300 mm with 3 to 16 blades, and the P4Z-P5Z-P6Z family from 250 to 1343 mm with blade counts from 1 to 16. Both use adjustable blade pitch and Z family hubs up to Z-18.
That spread is what makes the P Series useful for mixed plants: one blade family can be tuned across engine radiator cooling, HVAC, compressors, engine-driven equipment, fireproof ventilation and oil, gas or coal equipment without changing the hub interface or the service procedure.
| Model | Blade angle | Blade count | Diameter range | Blade materials | Hub options | Product page |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| P3Z | Adjustable | 3-16 | 250-1300 mm | PAG / PAGAS / ALU | Z-3 | P Series axial fan |
| P4Z-P5Z-P6Z | Adjustable | 1-16 | 250-1343 mm | PAG / PAGAS / ALU | Z-3 / Z-5 / Z-7 / Z-12 / Z-16 / Z-18 | Quoted on request |
Blade count is set by the duty point: high blade counts are used where static pressure is the limiting factor, lower counts where airflow and low blade-passing noise dominate.
Blade material is selected from the working temperature and from the atmosphere around the impeller:
| Material | Composition | Temperature range | Typical duty |
|---|---|---|---|
| PAG | PA6 with 30% glass fibre | -40 °C to 110 °C | Heavy-load cooling, anti-aging, general engine cooling |
| PAGAS | PA6 with 15% carbon fibre and 15% glass fibre (conductive) | -30 °C to 100 °C | Dust and gas atmospheres where static discharge must be avoided |
| ALU | Die-cast aluminium ADC12 | -40 °C to 150 °C, short-term 300 °C for 2 h | High-temperature and fire-resistance zones |
The conductive PAGAS option is supplied for equipment working in explosive-risk atmospheres such as dust or gas. It addresses the working environment of the blade; machine-level certification remains the responsibility of the equipment builder.
Blades are supplied with matched hub sets. The hub carries the blade loads and sets the shaft interface, so it is selected together with the blade count:
| Hub type | Weight | Hub diameter |
|---|---|---|
| HUB Z-3 | 0.74 kg / set | 190 mm |
| HUB Z-5 | 0.86 kg / set | 157 mm |
| HUB Z-7 | 0.86 kg / set | 194 mm |
| HUB Z-12 | 2.045 kg / set | 285 mm |
| HUB Z-16 | 3.64 kg / set | 385 mm |
This series is normally specified for the following duties:
Engine radiator cooling on industrial and mobile equipment
HVAC and air handling installations
Compressors and engine-driven equipment
Fireproof ventilation and oil, gas or coal equipment
When a fan is being specified or replaced, the following points are confirmed before a blade set is released. They are the same checks used for OEM programs and for retrofit projects.
Duty point: airflow and static pressure required at the working speed, taken from the cooling pack or ventilation requirement
Installation: available diameter, shroud clearance, mounting pattern and the shaft interface of the existing hub
Environment: maximum air temperature, dust or gas atmosphere, and whether static discharge has to be avoided
Drive: available power, belt or direct drive, and whether the fan has to reverse in service
Service: blade weight for handling during maintenance and spare-part availability across the machine fleet
Blade count, profile and material are then matched to those conditions in a fixed order: material first, then blade count, then hub family, with diameter confirmed against the shroud. Working in that sequence keeps the mechanical interface stable when the duty requirement changes later in the project, and it is why the same blade family can often stay in production while the cooling pack is revised.
Each impeller is balanced on a hand laser balancing machine before shipment. Blade pitch is set and recorded at assembly so a replacement blade set can be matched to the original duty point. The adjustable-angle concept behind these blades is covered by a granted Chinese utility model patent (CN 212250568 U).
Blade count, blade profile, hub family and material can be customized for OEM programs, and existing fans can be reviewed when airflow, noise or durability has to be improved on a running machine. Where low noise rather than pressure is the priority, the sickle-blade S Series is normally specified from the same Z hub family.
